Cassedy Caudill - is the new music teacher at Santa Fe Unit School, and teaches all grade levels, K-12. She has started a Rock Band boasting 30 members, a pep band, and a choir, and continues to show off her flute beatboxing to her students.
McKayla Clements - is the new elementary music teacher at David Youree Elementary School in Smyrna, TN. She is teaching general music to students K-5th grade.
Jessica Gadue - is a flutist, teacher and Administrator and Grant Manager at a local nonprofit, Greenhouse Ministries.

Jane Adele Scott: composed a 7 minute woodwind trio (flute, clarinet and bassoon) A Dying Snail, composed a 7 minute solo fanfare for trumpet or piccolo, both pieces premiered in Hinton Hall
Virginia Shingleton: worked on 5 movements from two solos, learned all my extended major and minor scales, 23 etudes so far, and I finally got a decent flute (if that counts).

Alyssa Baranski (Senior) was the 2016 1st place winner in the KY Flute Festival's Collegiate Artist Competition, the 2nd place winner in the LaGrange Symphony's Young Artist Competition and has been chosen as a winner for the 2016 Mid-South Flute Festival's Master Class Competition where she will perform for Leone Buyse. She was also a winner in the 2014 NFA Collegiate Flute Choir Competition. Alyssa was one of six flutists selected to study abroad with renowned flutist, Trevor Wye (2014-15).
Jacob Farmer (Junior) was selected as a performer for the 2015 Wildacres Summer Master class.
Brittany Howard (Grad) was selected as a performer for the 2016 Wildacres Summer Master class. Brittany is also currently studying the Baroque flute with Dr. Jessica Dunnavant at MTSU and will be having a Baroque flute recital at the end of the month. Last semester Brittany purchased a new-to her- Brannen- Copper flute!
Tiffany Jih (Junior) was a winner in the 2014 NFA Collegiate Flute Choir Competition.
Becca Luther (Freshman) As an Undergraduate, Becca helps to set up the MTSU Symphonic Band’s rehearsal space before all rehearsals. She performed the US premier of Chicamocha by Ruben Dario Gomez Prada. Becca has also volunteered at MTSU flute festival, and she currently plays flute at Blackman United Methodist church.
Megan McKinney (Senior) was the 2016 2nd place winner in the KY Flute Festival's Young Artist Competition. She was also a winner in the 2014 NFA Collegiate Flute Choir Competition. In February, Megan premiered Four Pieces for Flute by Ryan Jerzak. She will be performing in the pit orchestra for MTSU's upcoming production of The Tender Land by Aaron Copland
Kimberly McNutt participated in jazz band and studio orchestra for Pellissippi state community college, located in Knoxville, Tennessee. They preformed for Pellissippi State's Holiday Spectacular, Rossini Festival of the Arts, Anderson High school and Fulton High school. Kim has played at Disney World in Orlando, Florida and marched for the Chicago St. Patrick's day Parade. She helps service the community by helping clean-up water-sheds in the Knoxville area.

Kim has played at Disney World in Orlando, Florida and marched for the Chicago St. Patrick's day Parade. She helps service the community by helping clean-up water-sheds in the Knoxville area.

Megan Baldwin (2014 Grad)
Elementary music teacher at River Ridge Academy , Beaufort County School District, Charleston, NC.
Michelle Browne (1976 Grad)
I graduated from MTSU in August of 1976 and went on to grad school at Florida State where I studied with
Charles Delaney (I didn't completely finish the masters degree though). I currently work for
KHS America and Altus/Azumi/Jupiter Flutes. I am a special events manager and a flute specialist there.
Also, I am a fully certified Suzuki Flute Instructor with 20+ students ranging from age 4 to 18.
My studio is called Music City Suzuki Flute Studio and is located in Mt. Juliet. I spend a week every summer
at a Suzuki institute in Alexandria, VA to obtain continuing education in the method.
I have studied the Suzuki literature intensively with Takeaki Miyamae and Toshio Takahashi.
My studio performs as a group twice a year.
Abi Coffer (2010 Grad)
Abi is an Altus artist and currently teaches and performs in the middle Tennessee area. She is a frequent sub with the Chattanooga Symphony, Murfreesboro Symphony Orchestra, the Nashville Praise Symphony and the Nashville Symphony. She was a winner in the 2012 NFA Young Artist Competition in Las Vegas. Abi also won Best Performance of a Newly Commissioned Work at the 2012 YAC and she holds a MM in performance from UNI.

Jenny Davis (2011 Grad)
Freelancing, Flutist with Luna Nova Ensemble, Second flute with Memphis Repertory Orchestra,Flute teacher, OMusic Project. Mid-South Flute Society College Masterclass Competition Chair, Magnolia Flute Duo (with Shannon Moore), Private flute studio in Memphis area. Jenny completed two years of study with Trevor Wye at The Studio in England. She holds from MM at Boston University where she studied with Linda Toote.
Roya Farzaneh (2012 Grad)
Flute Instructor: Sound Factory Music School and the Cambridge Conservatory of Music in Ontario Canada. One of six flutists chosen to study in England with Trevor Wye (2014-15). Roya holds a MM from the University of Akron in Ohio where she studied with George Pope and Jane Berkner.

Jessy Fine (2012 Grad)
Jessy is the band director at Cedar Bluff Middle School in Knoxville, TN. While a student at MTSU, Jessy was a Student Ambassador, former section leader in the Band of Blue, and a member of Delta Omicron International Music Fraternity (former first and second Vice President). She represents MTSU as an “I’m One” speaker at recruitment trips for the university.

Katie Howard (2008 Grad)
Kaite is the principal flutist in the Topeka Symphony. She holds a MM and an Artist's Certificate from the University of Missouri- Kansas City. She was the recipient of a fellowship and a performer in the resident woodwind quintet while at UMCK.

Sarah Ball McVey (2010 MM Grad)
Sarah received her Master's of Arts degree in flute performance from MTSU in 2010. She also graduated summa cum laude in 2006 with a Bachelor of Music. She has studied flute with Deanna Hahn-Little and Andrea Graves. She is currently an adjunct music professor at Motlow State Community College and teaches K-12 music at Covenant Academy in McMinnville, TN. She is married to MTSU alumn Jason McVey, and they have to wonderful children, Isaac and Kathleen.

Her MM in Flute Performance from UNI, May 2015.
Maureen Moeller (2013 Grad)
Maureen holds flute performance degrees from Eastern Illinois University (M.A. ‘15) and Middle Tennessee State University (B.M. ‘13). She was the graduate assistant and business manager of the Eastern Illinois Symphony Orchestra and performed extensively with the ensemble as well as the Wind Symphony, Flute Choir, and various chamber groups. During the summers, she is a counselor and flute sectional teacher at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Twin Lake, Michigan. Her principal teachers include Rebecca Johnson, Deanna Little, and Sarah Beth Hanson.

One of six flutists chosen to study in England with Trevor Wye (2014-15). She is currently applying and auditioning for graduate programs while teaching and subbing with the Memphis Symphony.

TN area and free lance musician. Rebecca was a winner for both the 2014 and 2015 NFA Professional Flute Choir Competition.
